James Cawthorne is a postdoctoral scholar in the Center for Teaching and Learning. He supports future faculty and teaching assistant development programs, and develops educational resources for face-to-face and online delivery. James earned his Ph.D. in engineering education from Purdue University and a master's in paper and printing science and engineering from Western Michigan University. He also earned bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering, and pulp and paper science and technology from North Carolina State University. His current research interests are continuing professional learning and scholarship of teaching and learning.
