Linda Wills

School of Engineering

Dr Linda Wills is an associate professor in the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering who currently serves on the school's Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. With deep care for students, she co-led a recent revision of the computer engineering curriculum and collaborated with colleagues to develop a "Discovery Studio" course for incoming students. A former Hesburgh Award Teaching Fellow, Dr. Wills is taking her interest in hands-on and practice-oriented engineering education and adding two additional layers to her pedagogy:

  • Trauma-Informed Pedagogy. In today's climate how can we provide a supportive environment for learning in the face of uncertainty, trauma, and grief? We as faculty care; how can we show that we care?
  • Peer Support and Learning. How do we facilitate connection in the classroom between students, particularly in virtual environments?  How do we foster and reward informal peer support and coaching? What new ways can this occur for students who are learning remotely?
