Learning and Technology Initiatives Specialist

Rui Hu is the Learning & Technology Specialist for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). Working at Georgia Tech for almost 10 years, Rui has served in various roles on the campus, such as the lead instructional designer at CEISMC (Center for Education Integration Science, Mathematics, and Computing), Instructional System Designer at WLPD (Workplace Learning & Professional Development), Instructional Designer at GTPE (Georgia Tech Professional Education), and the Training Lead for the OneUSG Connect project at ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). Rui earned her Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of Georgia. She earned Master’s in Electro-circuits & Systems and her B.S. in Electronics & Information System from Central China Normal University. In her current role, Rui consults with faculty and TAs to implement the best practices of learning design in online teaching and learning. Rui also develops resources and lead workshops that advance understanding, application and evaluation of emerging educational technologies in teaching and learning.
