Faculty members present posters at Celebrating Teaching Day

Thank you for contributing a poster to Celebrating Teaching Day 2023! This year's event will take place on March 16, 2023 from 9:30am-1:00pm.

  • Poster session: 9:30am-11:00am
  • Luncheon and recognition of Thank a Teacher and CIOS Award recipients: 11:20-12:00pm
  • Keynote presentation by Dr. Kevin Gannon: "Getting Real about 'Rigor'": 12:00-1:00pm

During this signature Spring event, Georgia Tech educators showcase their teaching and learning work in a poster session which offers a glimpse into their classrooms. Attendees will explore projects created by innovative and entrepreneurial colleagues across campus and have the unique opportunity to share ideas and inspiration among colleagues.

Posters may be about any recent educational initiative, such as an innovative teaching strategy, course design, development or use of learning technology, program, etc.  You may also highlight a service you provide to support teaching and learning at Georgia Tech. Visit the 2021 Celebrating Teaching Day, 2020 Celebrating Teaching Day, 2019 Celebrating Teaching Day and 2018 Celebrating Teaching Day pages to see examples of posters that showcase inventive pedagogical initiatives underway by Georgia Tech peers committed to student learning.

All presenters will be provided with a 30"x40" foam board (unless you specified something different).  We recommend that you pick up the foam board for your poster from the CTL suite (CULC 457) by March 10th in order to mount your poster in advance. For poster printing, we recommend that you make use of the resources available at the the Media Scholarship Commons in the Library (Price Gilbert, 3rd Floor), where you can inexpensively use the wide plotters to print your posters. They have tech support available, too (check their website for hours).  Here is the form for submitting a poster for printing.

In addition to presenting your poster in person, we encourage presenters to submit a .pdf of their poster and short video explaining their educational initiative that we may link to from the 2023 Celebrating Teaching Day webpage.

We look forward to seeing you at Celebrating Teaching Day 2023!  If you have any questions or would like to contribute a poster, please contact Dr. Carol Subiño Sullivan, Assistant Director, Faculty Teaching and Learning Initiatives, at csubino@gatech.edu.

Please share details about your poster submission by completing the form below. Submissions received by February 20, 2023 will be included in the program.
