The Research Faculty Teaching Fellows program is run as a partnership with the Executive Vice President for Research (EVPR). This initiative offers research faculty the opportunity to become first-time instructors -- or, for those who have taught in the past, the ability to turn their cutting-edge research programs into instructional programs that enhance the teaching mission of an academic unit. Research Teaching Fellows teach one course in either the Fall or Spring semester of their award year. EVPR has partnered with the Center for Teaching and Learning to provide instructional support for Fellows. Research Teaching Fellows participate in the Course Design Studio in early June. Fellows also meet bimonthly during the semester in which they are teaching in order to discuss teaching challenges they encounter with their colleagues and a CTL facilitator.
