Celebrating Teaching Day

Mar. 28 | 9 a.m.-1 p.m. | Exhibition Hall

Celebrating Teaching Day is an annual event dedicated to celebrating teaching excellence at Georgia Tech. The event features a keynote speaker by author Robert Talbert, a poster session, and recognition of Thank-a-Teacher recipients, CIOS Honor Roll and Award recipients, and CTL faculty learning groups. We aim to foster community among all educators who share in the mission of creating engaging, challenging, and supportive learning experiences for their students throughout the year.

TTL Innovation Incubator Grants

The third round of Transformative Teaching and Learning (TTL) Innovation Incubator grants is now open! These grants support faculty as they design or redesign a course incorporating experiential learning; the 2025 cycle focuses specifically on designing community-based learning courses. Community-based learning is an educational approach that integrates classroom instruction with meaningful community engagement. It promotes active engagement, collaboration, and practical application of knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding of academic concepts and cultivating civic responsibility among learners. Faculty selected for the grant will receive programmatic and financial support to plan, implement and evaluate a community-based learning course.

World-class Teaching

We’re pleased to introduce World-class Teaching, a new series of blog posts highlighting the work of International Teaching Assistants (ITAs) at Georgia Tech. Tech thrives on innovation, collaboration, and global perspectives; International Teaching Assistants play a vital role in all three of these elements, bringing academic expertise along with diverse experiences and cultural perspectives to the classroom. Join us as we celebrate and elevate the experiences, leadership, and advice of Georgia Tech’s ITAs!
