Hyeyeon Lee, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Hyeyeon Lee is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Teaching and Learning. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and master’s in Educational Technology and has over 10 years of experience in educational research. In her current role at CTL, she works to translate educational research into practice across campus (i.e., how educational research informs teaching and classroom settings) and serves on the Center’s evaluation and assessment committee. Her research lies at the intersection of cognitive and metacognitive aspects of self-regulation and learning from multiple and multimodal resources. Using learning analytics and data science approaches, she investigates complex processes underlying learning in digital environments. She was recently awarded the American Psychological Association Division 15 Educational Psychology Early Career Research Grant to examine students’ resource use behaviors in digital contexts, generating insights relevant to AI-driven settings where learners interpret, understand, evaluate information. She actively collaborates with interdisciplinary teams on projects examining adverse childhood experiences, mental health, pedagogy in STEM education, and learning spaces.
