Laura Carruth, Ph.D.
Executive Director
Laura Carruth is the associate vice provost for Transformative Teaching & Learning and executive director of the Center for Teaching & Learning. She spent 21 years as a faculty member in the Neuroscience Institute and Department of Biology at Georgia State University, where she conducted neuroendocrinology research. While at GSU, she also served as the director of their Center for Teaching and Learning for nine years. She is interested in Universal Design for Learning and helping faculty adopt inclusive teaching practices that support all learners, reduce student stress, and increase cognitive bandwidth. Additional interests include learning analytics, AI and education, and all areas of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
