The 2022 Course Design Studio has ended, but you can still access all of the materials on demand on Canvas. Use this link to self-enroll.

The annual Course Design Studio has just concluded. During the Studio, two cohorts of faculty spent two weeks working on preparing their 2022-23 courses. Each summer, instructors at Georgia Tech have the opportunity to design or redesign a course with expert guidance from Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) consultants and input from colleagues across campus. This year we offered two distinct experiences: participants chose between an in person track and an online track.

In both tracks, participants worked through the backwards course design process to develop or redesign the goals, assessments and learning activities for their courses. The used course design frameworks and structures to develop key elements of the course and began to integrate them into a course schedule and syllabus. Along the way, they had multiple opportunities to get feedback from a consultant from CTL and from Georgia Tech colleagues.

Although the 2022 Course Design Studio has ended, all of the materials, including the frameworks and tools are available on demand via Canvas. Self-enroll in the Canvas course at any time. CTL consultants are available to work with you one-on-one to address any questions and provide you feedback on your course materials. Submit a consultation request here.
