Fall 2024 Book Club

Interested in a Book Club?  The Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) is excited to host the book club this fall focused on small teaching.  Join other faculty as you read about small teaching principles and strategies and find community and support for implementing small teaching practices within your courses.  

The details:
Book: Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning by James Lang. The book will be provided.

When: The Book Club will meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month (you will have plenty of time to read each part!) from 11:00am to 12:00pm. The Book Club will meet in person. The following dates have been designated for the Book Club meetings:

• September 24: Introduction + Part 1: Knowledge
• October 22: Part 2: Understanding
• *November 19: Part 3: Inspiration + Conclusion
   

*November will be the 3rd Tuesday of the month due to Thanksgiving Holiday

Space: Space is limited for the Book Club.  Register early to secure your spot.
